Arcas; The largest animal rescue and conservation in Guatemala lies in the Peten. An amazing project in rescuing animals and training them for reentry to the jungles of Guatemala. An extremely important and well executed project.

El Ciricote Botanical Gardens One man has reforested a clear cut area to an almost natural rainforest since 1981 while creating a seed bank of endangered plants of Guatemala. Well worth the effort in looking into if you have concerns about preservation of the rainforest.

Jungle Medic Missions; Bryan Buchanan coordinates and provides various medical clinics to isolated indigenous villages. The clinics depend upon the type of doctors coming down to donate services.

Authentic Maya; A beautifully done and informative site where I have obtained much information on the Mayan people for my "Did You See That" website.

Texan Bay Marina; Mike and Suzi promise to show you a good time on the other side of the Golfette. Food, marina and cabins.
