Learn how to draw while learning Life skills and how you may have limited yours.
One of the most important tasks in our time is the stimulation of human creativity. It is essential to face and approach the problems of the day with a positive outlook. Kevin Lock has rendered a valuable service in compiling "Drawing Towards Wholeness" and "Visual Rhythm". These instruction manuals offer solid, hands-on advice how to work creatively, how to explore new means of expression, and also to explore and know oneself.
I have no hesitation to recommend these books as useful means to activate hidden faculties, to shift attention, to discover new possibilities, and to give those following the instructions a new sense of accomplishment. These manuals will stimulate positive attitudes even under adverse conditions.

Kevin Lock has created a wonderfully innovative creative program for one to get in touch with their inner child through art. In a nontoxic, easy to digest, loving fashion he offers art as a way to connect with feelings and emotions that are often buried. Through art one can begin to see the tapes that run our lives and we can gain insights about ourselves which lead us towards a healthier attitude of life. To heal is to feel.

Drawing for me was an escape from a current reality that, at the time, I was incapable of facing. Personal tragedies forced me to withdraw into myself. My early works were violent, angry portrayals of fantasy that as time went on became tame and tranquil.
Years later while teaching others to draw and with encouragement of a mentor who wrote a book called "Drawing on the right Side of the Brain", I realized how that distorted art I had created earlier had been an avenue that assisted me in getting past those traumatic issues I had lived through earlier.
My workshops were conducted for over five years in correctional settings via an outreach program. In time, two books were compiled from those efforts that were used in prisons across the country of the U.S. in nine states and three countries. Unfortunately, those books are no longer avalaible except online in an interactive website format. Today these lessons are avalaible to those interested.
